Wear the Legend! - Huseby Custom Boots
The History of Huseby Custom Boots

Thad Huseby of Huseby Custom Boots at the Light Hands Horsemandship event.
My name is Thad Huseby. I am originally from Montana where I grew up working with horses and cattle. I began working with leather, making horse tack and other quality leather goods, when I was nine years old.

It wasn’t until high school I found out I have two drastically different sized feet and that the majority of people actually have similar issues yet do not know it. Shortly after graduating, I had a pair of custom boots made and what a difference it made in fit and comfort. Since then I became passionate about boot making. I like helping people and creating something that they would enjoy. It is a special feeling when a customer tells you, "you gave me my walk back" and it's something you made.

I attended the R.I. Merrel Institute of Bootmaking and later personally trained with C.T. Chappell, World Champion Master Bootmaker. I continued my education with courses in pedorthotics to learn the biomechanics of the feet and legs and also studied the techniques of several bootmakers.

I want to keep improving and eventually pass along the tradition of bootmaking through teaching classes in Bonners Ferry, Idaho or wherever God may lead me next.

Your feet need to carry you the rest of your life.
Why not take care of them with Huseby Custom Boot?
