The History of Huseby Custom Boots
My name is Thad Huseby. Originally from
Montana, I grew up in the West working with horses and cattle. I worked
with leather, made horse tack and other quality leather goods since I was
nine years old. Later I attended the R.I. Merrel Institute of Bootmaking and
I also studied the techniques of D.W. Frommer the 2nd, as well as Ted R.
Trulove. Recently I trained with C.T.Chappell, World Champion Master
Bootmaker, in order to provide my customers with the quality they deserve.
With over twenty years of experience serving the general
public, Huseby Custom Boots is currently celebrating its 17th
anniversary in beautiful Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
 My Main
Goal at Huseby Custom Boots is to provide top quality, comfortable,
long-lasting boots for you, the customer, who has very specific needs as well as those of you desiring our unique
one-of-a-kind styles. I produce custom-designed, hand-crafted leather works of art,
be it to your own specifications or you can just let us work our own magic
to design and create your masterpiece. Whatever you decide, rest assured
that you are getting a genuine original that you will actually wear.
